Voucher Information

The Wisconsin School Choice program allows parents and guardians to enroll their children in private secular or religious schools by providing them publicly funded tuition called vouchers.

There are three basic facts about private school vouchers:

·        Fact #1 – Vouchers do not improve student achievement
·        Fact #2 – Vouchers eliminate public accountability
·        Fact #3 – Vouchers take resources away from public school students

There is a better choice for Wisconsin. Wisconsin’s educators, parents, taxpayers, and lawmakers must collectively unite behind a strategy of educational improvement that we know works: investing in comprehensive education reforms that follow the best practices of states that have significantly raised student performance and closed achievement gaps.
